Re: X-Wing: Advice wanted

Not on the forums much at the moment but I hope it's not too late for some advice. Other than standard things like 'there will be cheesy net lists', 'know what your stuff does' and the plethora of general competition wargaming advice there's not a lot to say. - Be really aware of the time limits. X ...

Re: Looking for some 40k action in Bradford-on-Avon or at the club on a Saturday

Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday normally work best. Latter two I can normally do days too. Always odd exceptions but that's my general availability!

Re: THE KING OF 40K TOURNAMENT 2016

Firstly, and by far the most important thing, thank you for organising and offering to run. Thinking about turning up but one question - I assume you mean 1 faction by one army book? So the campaign book formations (like Raven Guard, White Scars, Daemons, etc) are all fine to be used with the respec...

Looking for some 40k action in Bradford-on-Avon or at the club on a Saturday

It's becoming more difficult for me to make it down to the club so just wondering if anyone in the Bardford-on-Avon/Trowbridge area would be interested in some 40k game. Got a table and some terrain but would like to actually get some gaming done. Looking to do some scenarios, etc and I have some zo...

Spartan Games 'Black Friday'

Whilst I loathe this new 'tradition', Spartan are going to be 40% off on their battle groups for Dystopian this week so it's a great time to pick up some more models. A fleet will be about £27 which is a great deal. Not sure who else gets Spartan emails so thought I'd share http://www.spartangames.c...

Thank you, Liam. All squared up.

Come on Pigmar! Don't let all the bacon go to Bristol, I know there are more X-Wing players!

Lee - thank you! I do not mind standing corrected on this :-)

Re: X-Wing tournament - The Inaugural Jek Porkins Memorial Trophy

First post updated based on Facebook and thread. I'll be posting the house list up (my fleet) a week before the deadline so that everyone can see it. It'll only be used if we end up with an odd number on the day! I'll also be working out a plan for how many tables we can get in to work out a final u...

Re: X-Wing tournament - The Inaugural Jek Porkins Memorial Trophy

I'll check with the committee about any hard upper limit but I'd be happy with around 24 (which should keep the room comfy). If there's more interest then we can also look at having some tables in the skittle alley!

Mats would be awesome, thank you, as I have 1 myself but we don't have anything dedicated other than that. I'll add people on over lunch!

Great plan, Rob. It's retired in honour of true hero of the rebel alliance. Rulespack just finish and going to sort out some details before posting it tomorrow. We'll be playing 4 games of a Tournament on the FFG rules; https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/86/6c/866c4bc3-e8b8-4389-...

Re: The Ninth age

Oh, more power to them for trying it but I think there's some inherent issues with their first draft...but it is alpha 0.1 so we'll see what makes the 'release'

Re: The Ninth age

Interesting to see what people are thinking and good for people for looking for a way to enjoy their games. It seems to need a lot of work still as, even at a glance, lore attributes for magic seem really broken. It is in alpha but I think it's a good demonstration that maybe the community doesn't h...

Re: Battle for Middenheim - 18th July at BIG

I'm probably going to have to pull out :-( I'm having a bathroom fitted next week and the delivery of the final bits (bath, toilet and sink) has been pushed back to Saturday between 1200 and 1800 and I'll need to be in for it otherwise I'm paying someone a lot of money to not fit my bathroom! Sorry ...
